1.How to connect PE and PPR pipes, can they be directly melted, and the specifications and models of the two pipes are the same?
The PPR and PE pipes cannot be connected by hot melt, and the inner teeth should be directly connected with the outer teeth.
The wall thickness of PE pipe is different from that of PP-R pipe. The welding strength of the two materials cannot meet the requirements.
PE is connected with PP-R after it is imported into the room.. Small pipe diameter adopts metal conversion and large pipe diameter adopts flange conversion. Cast iron pipes and steel pipes adopt flange conversion outdoors, and the flanged wells and soft joints are easy to maintain and replace.
PPR pipes can be connected by heat, but PE cannot be connected by heat. If you want to connect them together, you can add a pipe section in the middle to connect the two pipes.
The correct connection method is to connect with flanges. Small diameter pipes can also be connected with toothed fittings, so as to effectively guarantee the connection strength and ensure the quality of the project.
Flange connection is to fix two pipes, pipe fittings or equipment on a flange plate respectively, then add a flange gasket between the two flange plates, and finally tighten the two flange plates with bolts. It is a detachable joint that is tightly integrated.
Flange connection is mainly used for the connection of cast iron pipes, rubber-lined pipes, non-ferrous metal pipes and flanged valves. The connection of process equipment and flanges also adopts flange connection.
2.The difference between PE water pipe and PPR water pipe
(1) Temperature resistance: PE water pipes have a maximum stable temperature of 70°C and a minimum temperature of -30°C under normal use. Under normal use conditions, the highest stable temperature of PPR water pipeline is 70℃, and the lowest temperature is -10℃. PE water pipes and PPR water pipes have the same high temperature resistance. However, PE water pipes are better than PPR water pipes in terms of low temperature performance.
(2) Welding: Although both PPR water pipes and PE water pipes can be welded by heat, PPR water pipes are easier to operate. PPR water pipes have rounded edges, while PE water pipes are irregular and easy to block; the welding temperature is also different. PPR water pipes are 260℃, PE water pipe is 230℃.
(3) Low-temperature impact strength: In terms of indicators, it is the strength of PE water pipe materials. PPR water pipes are stronger than PE water pipes, and PE water pipes are more flexible than PPR water pipes.
(4) Size specifications: The maximum size that can be made of PE pipe is dn1000, and the maximum size of PPR is dn160. Therefore, PE pipes are often used as drainage pipes, and water supply pipes are generally PPR.
